Soltrex, a startup in solar robotics, specializes in optimizing solar plant performance through automation. Their innovative product, a multi-row robot, provides daily coverage of solar plant sites.

Design a Marketing Site that effectively communicates Soltrex's mission, values, and perks, while strategically increasing the users’ probability of choosing to use Soltrex's services.

RESEARCH

Soltrex - Advancing solar plant production through robotics

After my meeting with Soltrex's founder, Ben, I identified some of Soltrex most unique features and aimed to effectively communicate through my designs.

What Soltrex is selling is a product solution that would advance the productivity of solar plants. The “major benefits” and "key features" of the marketing site are the hooking point.

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

What can we learn from our competitors?

Several companies are leading innovations in robotic technologies for solar plants. Below is an analysis of two leading companies: Eccopia & SolarCleano.

Eccopia's Website

Target Audience: Operators and owners of solar farms, both large and small scale, as well as solar panel cleaning service providers.
Services: Offers automated robotic cleaning services for solar panels at utility-scale PV sites.
Overall: Provides a user-friendly experience with a modern design and intuitive navigation, showcasing their expertise in automated solar panel cleaning through interactive elements and detailed information. Its focus on sustainability and efficiency in solar energy maintenance is clear and engaging for potential clients.

Target Audience: Operators and owners of solar farms, both large and small scale, as well as solar panel cleaning service providers
Services: Autonomous, waterless cleaning robots that can navigate and clean solar panels effectively, catering to the needs of solar farms of various sizes.
Overall: Offers a clean, engaging user experience with a focus on showcasing their robotic solar panel cleaning products. Its design emphasizes ease of use, with clear navigation that guides visitors through product information, benefits, and client testimonials.

HYPOTHESIS

Condensed Information

By simplifying the presenting information, it helps guiding the users to the section that would serve as a hooking point. When the users experience the website more agilely, they make better decision.

Authentic Mock-up

In addition to photography, authentic mock-ups would also enhance the services’s credibility, while letting the target audience to visualize what exactly can they do using Soltrex's services.

IDEATION

Visualizing the Opportunities

Soltrex Robot

Incorporate visuals of the Soltrex robot and highlight its key features like solar-powered operation, autonomous navigation, and waterless cleaning.

Demo & 3D Video

To increase the credibility of the product, I will include a demo and 3D video of the robot in action.
